We invite you and your family and friends to compete in the Bingen Chili and Soup Cook-off and Euchre Tournament at the Union Township Hall (4655 E 800 N, Decatur, IN) on Saturday, February 9. Bring your chili (or soup) or just bring your appetite and expert soup-tasting skills. We challenge you to be creative or cook up one of one of your families’ favorite tried and true recipes. If you are interested in entering the contest, be there by 5 with your soup and any fixings to complement your dish, otherwise join us at 5:30 to be a taster and judge. Fun new prizes are at stake. Bring your own beverage, and the social committee will provide relishes, corn bread, sandwiches, dessert, and table ware. We will also have a Euchre Tournament for those interested in playing this local favorite.

The bookcases and toy storage cabinets were installed today in the updated nursery / family life resource center! Now it is time to fill the shelves. Stay tuned...

Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Milwaukee at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church UAC. Their beloved church building that is the same age as St. John, Bingen over 150 years old. has been destroyed by a massive four alarm fire. No injuries or casualties have been reported.
